[GENERAL]
Today is my B-day!  I am now 1/4th of the way to my goal of living an entire century.  Lets hope that pans out ^_^.  Nothing big or surprising, which is exactly how I like my B-days.  I decided to just spent the day at home and relax...well, mostly.

[SILL]
Since I took the day off, I decided to work a little on Sill.  As you may have guessed by the title, I decided to mess with the font resource (again).

If you remember my previous blog post on fonts, I was able to get them 'working' and relatively stable, but at the cost of extreme texture memory usage (couldn't use font sizes over 70 in most cases) and minor glitches.  This time around, I fixed the texture issues, so you can now specify almost any size (within reason, I tested fonts up to 256pt with no issues) and ironed out some of the most annoying of alignment/scale bugs.

Some fonts, however, still don't present themselves well.   Most of the time, these fonts use some unusual metrics for placement that I am currently unable to support (such as fonts that change to a different glyph depending on the proximity of other characters, etc).  Also, Unicode is still not supported.  Right now, these aren't the most pressing of concerns on my todo list, so they'll just have to be for now.

I guess with that, I'm going to head back and relax.  Get a pizza, play some games, chat with people.  You don't turn 25 everyday now Wink
